The appartment is very well situated in the fashionable "Barrio Gótico" with its winding streets, gothic Cathedral, medieval buildings and Roman ruins. It's about two minutes walking to Las Ramblas, (metro station Liceu , green line) and to plaza Catalunya, where also are a lot of possible combinations of metro lines (red, blue and green line), bus lines, and trains. The "Barrio Borne", with his Iglesia de Santa María del Mar, Barcelona’s most beautiful old church and Museo Picasso are both within 5 minutes walk. This is the city's new gastronomic zone, full of beautifully designed restaurants serving delicious food. There are also a variety of small and trendy clothing boutiques, crafts shops, cafés and historical monuments and museums. Nightlife, clubs, disco and bars are 5 minutes far from here just in the corner :) The beach is also 15 minutes walking away and the port 10 min. You can get there very easily from the airport, as the train to the city centre stops at plaza Catalunya station. The shuttle bus from Girona airport also stops very near, at Estacion del Norte.
